Hey Y’all,

Just a little update from team Smoke & Rye.

Following the recent announcement that restaurants are legally able to reopen from 4th July we can now confirm that unfortunately we will not be one of those restaurants.

After carrying out a risk assessment based on the latest government guidelines we feel that it would still be unwise for us to reopen considering many factors including the shape, size and layout of our restaurant, the requirement for tableside service in our business and the high risk in general due to the virus still spreading throughout the population.

Whilst the team are missing you and itching to get back full swing, health and safety remains our absolute priority and until we are able to deliver our usual levels of service, atmosphere and customer interaction, dine in services will not be available.

On a positive note, the ability for people to travel allows us to reintroduce our food and drink selection in a variety of different ways and we’ve got a lot of exciting developments to share with you all very soon!

You have all exceeded our expectations with your overwhelming support and kindness during these difficult times. As always we’re striving to keep in touch with everyone and will respond to all of your enquiries but please understand that this may take a little longer than usual as we’re pretty snowed under!

I know y’all are super excited for us to get back to normal but we kindly ask that you do not attempt to make a reservation until we have announced a confirmed date for reopening to avoid disappointment.

Stay safe and please keep checking back for updates over the upcoming weeks.

Love as always,

Team S&R
