AFTER REOPENING SMOKE & RYE AT THE END OF OCTOBER, FOLLOWING A DIFFICULT 7 MONTHS OF STAYING CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC, TO SAY THE TEAM IS DEVASTATED AT THE NEWS OF THE LATEST LOCKDOWN IS A REAL UNDERSTATEMENT.

 

YOU’LL BE ABLE TO DINE IN, WITH A FEW CHANGES TO OUR USUAL FULL S&R TABLE SERVICE. 

 

WHISLT THE NEWS ISN'T A SURPRISE AND WE COMPLETELY UNDERSTAND THAT THE DECISION FOR A SECOND LOCKDOWN HAS BEEN MADE WITH SAFETY IN MIND, IT HAS COME AS A MASSIVE BLOW AFTER THE COUNTLESS SLEEPLESS NIGHTS AND MONTHS OF PREPARATION, ADAPTING THE BUILDING AND ADAPTING THE WAY WE WORK IN ORDER TO ENSURE THAT WE COULD COMPLY WITH GOVERNEMTN GUIDELINES AND WELCOME YOU BACK IN THE SAFEST WAY POSSIBLE.

AS THE DEVASTATING EFFECTS OF COVID-19 CONTINUE TO IMPACT OUR DAILY LIVES WITH SO MUCH UNEASE WE WANTED TO TAKE THE OPPORTUNITY TO UPDATE YOU ON OUR CURRENT COVID-19 SAFETY POLICY AND JUST SOME OF THE UNPRECEDENTED STEPS WE'VE TAKEN TO ENSURE THE SAFETY OF OUR CUSTOMERS AND TEAM.

  • ALONG EVERY STEP OF THE WAY WE'LL BE CARRYING OUT A RISK ASSESSMENT OF THE PROPERTY AND ALL ESSENTIAL OPERATIONS

  • OUR TEAM MEMBERS HAVE ALL RECEIVED TRAINING TO PREPARE THEM IN MANAGING THE RISK OF COVID-19 IN THE WORKPLACE AND HANDLING OUR NEW OPERATIONAL PROCEDURES

  • BEFORE STARTING EACH SHIFT WE'LL BE CHECKING THE TEMPERATURE OF OUR TEAM MEMBERS 

  • ALL TEAM MEMBERS WILL BE WEARING FACE COVERINGS 

  • WE'VE INCREASED HAND WASHING AND HAND SANITISING FACILITIES ON SITE

  • PERSONAL HYGIENE HAS ALWAYS BEEN A PRIORITY FOR OUR TEAM MEMBERS AND IN ADDITION TO OUR USUAL GOOD PRACTICES ALL TEAM MEMBERS WILL BE ENCOURAGED TO CHANGE AND SHOWER BEFORE AND AFTER SHIFTS AS WELL AS WASHING THEIR HANDS REGULARLY 

  • WE ARE TAKING EVERY STEP POSSIBLE TO ENSURE OUR MOST VULNERABLE STAFF MEMBERS AND THOSE WITH VULNERABLE FAMILY MEMBERS HAVE THE ADDITIONAL SUPPORT NEEDED DURING THIS DIFFICULT TIME 

  • WE'VE IMPLEMENTED WORKING STATIONS, BACK TO BACK WORKING AND ONE WAY SYSTEMS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE IN AREAS WHERE SOCIAL DISTANCING ISN'T POSSIBLE ON SITE

  • WE'LL BE STICKING TO COHORT WORKING TEAMS AS MUCH AS POSSIBLE TO LOWER STAFF MIXING 

  • WE'VE REDUCED ACTIVITY TIMES AND OPENING HOURS IN ORDER TO MAKE ALLOWANCES FOR ADDITIONAL CLEANING AND SANITISING 

  • WE'LL BE CONTINUING WITH OUR HIGH LEVEL OF FOOD SAFETY PRACTICES AND WE'VE IMPLEMENTED NEW SOFTWARE AND SYSTEMS TO HELP WITH THIS

  • OUR CURRENT CLEANING REGIMES HAVE BEEN ENHANCED IN EVERY AREA OF THE BUILDING AND DURING EVERY STAGE OF OPERATIONS

  • WE'VE INTRODUCED MINIMUM CONTACT SERVICES WHICH MEANS THAT WE’LL BE ENCOURAGING ALL CUSTOMERS TO ORDER USING A SELF ORDERING QR CODE MENU SYSTEM USING THEIR SMART PHONES

  • FOR NOW WE'LL ONLY BE ACCEPTING CARD AND CONTACTLESS PAYMENTS​

  • TO MANAGE STOCK, SUPPLY CHAIN ISSUES AND UNPREDICTABLE DEMAND WE'LL BE OPERATING WITH A REDUCED OFFER ON A FIRST COME FIRST SERVED BASIS - WHEN IT'S GONE IT'S GONE!
