WE ARE SEEKING AN EXPERIENCED AND DYNAMIC BAR SUPERVISOR TO LEAD OUR BARS AND MANAGE OUR CURATED SELECTION OF DRINKS. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE STRONG DRINKS KNOWLEDGE WITH A REAL PASSION FOR SOURCING AND SERVING THE BEST PRODUCTS. THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE A STRONG BACKGROUND IN HOSPITALITY, EXCELLENT LEADERHSIP SKILLS, AND A COMMITMENT TO PROVIDING OUTSTANDING CUSTOMER SERVICE. YOU SHOULD BE ABLE TO MANAGE AND MOTIVATE A TEAM, HANDLE CUSTOMER ENQUIRIES WITH EASE, AND ENSURE SMOOTH OPERATION OF THE BARS. THE POSITION REQUIRES PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE AND IS PERFECT FOR SOMEONE WHO IS LOOKING TO PROGRESS IN THEIR HOSPITALITY CAREER.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

TEAM LEADERSHIP: SUPERVISE AND SUPPORT THE FRONT OF HOUSE TEAM, INCLUDING SERVERS AND BARTENDERS, TO ENSURE EXCEPTIONAL SERVICE AND A POSITIVE DINING EXPERIENCE FOR ALL GUESTS.

CUSTOMER SERVICE: I ALL ABOUT MULTI-TASKING, WHILST ENSURING EVERY INTERACTION WITH GUESTS IS A GREAT ONE FROM THE MOMENT THEY STEP THROUGH THE DOOR TO THE MOMENT THEY LEAVE. OUR FRONT OF HOUSE TEAM ARE VERY WELL VERSED IN OUR FOOD AND DRINK AND HELP GUESTS WITH EASE TO SELECT MENU ITEMS AND MAKE GREAT RECOMMENDATIONS PERFECT FOR THEIR TASTEBUDS. OUR GUESTS' FAVOURITE PART ABOUT COMING TO SMOKE AND RYE IS WHEN THAT PICTURE PERFECT PLATE OF FOOD OR DRINK HITS THE TABLE IN FRONT OF THEM AND OUR FRONT OF HOUSE TEAM ARE THERE TO MAKE SURE THEY HAVE EVERYTHING THEY NEED TO ENJOY THEIR VISIT.

TRAINING AND DEVELOPMENT: YOU'LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR TRAINING AND MENTORING NEW STAFF MEMBERS, AS WELL AS CONDUCTING ONGOING TRAINING SESSIONS, AND PROVIDING FEEDBACK TO HELP TEAM MEMBERS IMPROVE THEIR SKILLS AND PERFORMANCE.

QUALITY CONTROL: ENSURE THAT ALL SERVICE STANDARDS ARE MET, AND THAT THE FRONT OF HOUSE AREAS ARE CLEAN, ORGANISED, AND WELL MAINTAINED.

COORDINATION: WORK CLOSELY WITH THE KITCHEN STAFF AND SERVERS TO ENSURE TIMELY AND ACCURATE DELIVERY OF ORDERS, MANAGING THE FLOW OF ORDERS, AND COMMUNICATING EFFECTIVELY WITH ALL TEAM MEMBERS.

ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES: MANAGE SHIFT SCHEDULES, HANDLE CASH TRANSACTIONS, DEPOSITS AND END OF DAY CASHING UP, HANDLING DIARY MANAGEMENT, RESERVATIONS AND PHONE CALLS, STOCK MANAGEMENT, INVENTORY AND GP MANAGEMENT OF WET SALES.

MARKETING & SALES: CONTRIBUTE TO MARKETING STRATEGIES TO INCREASE SALES AND ENHANCE THE DINING EXPERIENCE.

AS SUPERVISOR AT SMOKE & RYE, YOU WILL BE A KEY PLAYER IN OUR FRONT OF HOUSE OPERATIONS, ENSURING THAT OUR GUESTS RECIEVE AN EXCEPTIONAL LEVEL OF RESTAURANT STYLE SERVICE WHICH MATCHES OUR RELAXED LIVELY ATMOSPHERE BUT REMAINS ATTENTIVE BUT NOT OVERBEARING; AND SEAMLESS FROM START TO FINISH.

YOUR TYPICAL DAY FOR A SUPERVISOR AT SMOKE & RYE INVOLVES MOSTLY HANDS ON CUSTOMER SERVICE WITH SOME ADMINISTRATIVE DUTIES AS WELL AS MANAGEMENT COVER. YOU'LL ALSO HAVE RESPONSIBILITIES FOR MANAGING THE CELLAR, MANAGING STOCK, SUPPLIERS, SOURCING NEW PRODUCTS AND DESIGING DRINKS MENUS. THIS IS A FULL TIME POSITION AND INCLUDES LATE EVENINGS, WEEKENDS AND HOLIDAYS. YOU'LL ALSO HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY FOR FLEXIBLE WORKING HOURS WITH SHIFT PATTERNS COVERING 4 OR 5 DAYS.
